The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is off on another large-scale humanitarian effort. This time it is the the country of Haiti, which we know has just experienced a devastating earthquake.
The church says that 2 planes will be sent as early as this morning from Denver and Miami, carrying 80,000 pounds of hygiene and medical kits in addition to emergency food supplies.
